FL gators (not the football team)
My next door neighbor called our HOA about an alligator in the pond behind our homes and here's the last 24 hours.
Yesterday morning, the gator trapper set up the gator fishing pole ![]() Gator on! The cranes decided they wanted to give the gator a hard time ![]() The trapper is called, shows up 45 min later, "dispatches" the gator, and pulls him from the water ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() I thought the gator was 7-8' long, and he measured out at 7'4". |

Its for safety. Even after getting hit on the top of the head with a bang stick, an alligator will have spasms. Sometimes it's just a twitch, or you might see a leg move like its taking a step. Other times they might open their mouth and snap down quickly. When they tagged this guy, he'd been gone for a good 10-15 minutes and still tweaked a bit.
