I have found the first thing that breaks on every F-series truck.

Just wondering if anyone else has noticed this. I noticed on my 2006 f150 and the day after i brought home my 2012 f250 i noticed it was broken there too. I'm willing to bet if any of you go out and look in the hinge area of your truck you will notice. The little rubber piece is probably broken. haha doesn't really effect me but just thought it was neat to find the first part that wears out on any truck.

yeah it still seals perfectly fine but you can tell it was once attached to the rubber coming out of the door. its supposed to stay with the door when opening.

I can't see that small area where the mushroom cap seal is sitting now actually letting the larger arm portion pass through it repeatedly

I will go check a shop manual

I think the thing that breaks first is those plastic caps on the bolts infront of the driver/pass seats.
