just freakin great!!!

So today was the day i was gonna get a video of the truck in action. i get her all washed up and pretty lookin, and i tell my wife, lets get a video then go to dinner. well i come in to see if the camcorder is good to go, i turn it on and get nothing but a black screen. so i call customer care at samsung, i get habib, who speaks very broken english. i start getting frusterated with him because i cant understand him. he tells me that i have to send it away to this address to get it fixed. i ended up hanging up, but decided to call back hoping to get someone i can understand, and i do. i tell him the issues i am having with my 3 yr old camcorder, he tells me i have to pay to get it shipped to the repair facility, and it will be repaired or most likely replaced with a brand new model for FREE!!!!! Woohoo. my warranty is way over and i am getting a repair or a new one for free. i am freakin excited since i paid over 400 new for this one!!!!! wheni get it back i will get a video up!!!

yeah the job thing is going in my favor!!! Finally the stress and waiting is over. i realized today though how chicken **** my employer is. the way they handled the lay off notice was way out of line. they have no compassion, they dont care about humiiated we may be by gettting the notice in front of everyone else that we work with. it is rediculous and i cant wait for this Corrections job to come open.

Lets hope they keep up their end of the bargain!

I too CANT STAND it when I call a company and a damm a$$ foreigner who speaks broken hardly understandable English takes my call. Usually I do just as you did, only I don't wait to get frustrated. I hang up the moment I realize it's someone that can't speak the language of my country. If you can't speak it, don't live here.

They don't live here. Habib was in India. Blue chip companies outsource their customer service overseas to save $$$. Wait till Rwalker gets his phone bill.

Good deal Rob -- glad to hear they will be replacing it! Honestly, that is freaking good customer service if they are handling it outside of warranty!!!

And good deal also about the job - glad to hear its working out for you, but it seems that companies and corporations are generally not too compashionate any more about their employees and how they handle them -- I missed adding our newborn son to my insurance by 20 days b/c I was waiting on his SSN and am now being denied any coverage for his bills during birth and the follow-ups b/c of "It's the rule"... oh well --

Glad everything's working out for ya and can't WAIT to see that VID!
