Those guys didn't knowing what exactly was waiting for them and still they stormed ashore to push back enemy forces. Heroes? Absolutely!!!

I agree Josh. European operations seem to get lost in story telling. What people need to realize is that America was fighting on two fronts and kicking azz on both!

I have been to war and seen the Ugliest parts of human nature as a medic in the Army.... however these men LIVED war to such a much deeper level than i can ever imagine. These truely are our greatest generation.
