Daughters boyfriend in a shoot out

Sunday night a little neighbor girl came banging on my daughters boyfriends front door. When he answered she was crying and told him her daddy was beating her mommy and he had a gun. Well Sean grabbed his pistol and told the little girl to stay there until he came back. By the time he got to the neighbors house the guy had already taken a shot at the wife. Sean told the guy to put his gun down and the guy took a shot at him. How he missed with a shotgun I'll never know but Sean can shoot and shot the guy dead on the spot.

Turns out he missed the wife too so the only one hurt was the azzhole husband, and I'm pretty sure he learned his lesson. Sean called the cops and they came and they did take Sean's gun but there are no charges pending against him for taking the guy down. That's amazing for Maryland. Now that's how you man up IMHO.

Its to bad the little girl had to see her mom go through that. But it is great that the boyfriend stepped in. Hopefully he gets his gun back. Tell him good job.

I do have to say no charges in Maryland is an odd thing.

But extremely refreshing at the same time

He is a great person for risking his life and freedom (charges/legal problems) for someone else that he might not even know.

I'm surprised as well I grew up in Pasadena and yea there are a lot of reasons I ain't never moving back the gun laws are one of them...I do miss the blue crab though. I say good on that guy for stepping up we need more like him in the world willing to protect those that cant protect themselves. I say three cheers for that young man!

Does this mean he killed the guy or just shot him right then? Either way still bad a$$.

Wow Mitch, that's something that he ran to the danger and kept his head. Is he looking at a job in law enforcement? Might be a good candidate.

Even though he did the right thing, I hope he'll be able to deal with the fact he took a life. I can't imagine what may come to mind after the dust settles. Maybe he should get some counseling or something.

I hope the wife doesn't try to sue him over this either. BUT weirder things have happened.
