Off Road Log Truck

Decided that it was finaly time to start building another truck so I have decided to build a custom Off Road log truck. It is based on the International Paystar 5000 but is going to be very heavily modified.

Progress so far.

Going with two hole budds up front. Tires are still undecided.

Peerless trailer 5 holes on the truck and trailer. With custom hubs.

Some ideas

Did anyone ever put an engine that was not an International in these?

Custom built headache rack I am working on. It will have more over cab protection as well as a little platform that it is mounted too where I will also have a water tank mounted for the brakes.

Tapered stinger I am working on.

Still playing with the log bunks but so far I have extended them to about 10 feet or slightly more. Also I am working with some brass pipe to build heavy duty stakes out of.

Cab is just resting in place here. I was just mocking up stuff.

Some more progress. Everything is just sitting in place. not much glued down yet.

Sweet, i just dont have the patients to put models together, i wish i did. There are some really cool ones out there. Someone gave me one of a Camaro SS and i started it and gave up. Maybe one day i will try it again. Ryan, that looks bad a$$ buddy

Thanks everybody. I have built hiway trucks for so long that it was time to finally build an off road truck. When done it will be done in Weyerhouser or MacMillin Blodel colors.

I get my kits off the internet. YOu can still find good deals on ebay. I got the truck on ebay for $40 shipped because it was missing the chrome parts sprue. Thats cool though cause there will be no chrome on this truck any way.
