Wow... it's a pretty sick world we live in. However, I think the two burglars should be punished - regardless of what they found and turned in, and for being the "lesser of the two evils", I don't buy that

They still stole something, at least a fine of some sort

I'm happy to hear that that POS was busted before he acted on his disgusting fetish, at least I hope it was before

I agree with you there - Instead of looking at it as "the lesser of two evils," they should be looking at it as "Two birds, one stone."

"Thanks for taking the scumbag off the street, but you boys are going to jail!!"

I hear ya, I wasn't implying that you were for the burglars "doing the right thing" or anything like that. I was simply responding to the article. The article read towards the end, that no action was taken on the two burglars and the chief of police (or whoever) said that we punished the "lesser of the two evils". That's what I don't agree with - they need to punish anyone/everyone who broke the law.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but... let's take a look at a scenario (becuase I honestly don't know)

In a murder trial, if evidence is obtained that PROVES the convicted guilty it can not be used in court if it is obtained illegally. Correct?

EDIT: Well, I just talked to my dad (he works in the judicial system here in Georgia) and he tells me that it's all up to the DA and the Judge (at least that's what I got out of it, I find that stuff extremely boring and hard to pay attention to). It can literally vary from courtroom to courtroom on what is decided... sigh, I hate how our system isn't consistent anywhere.

We honestly shouldn't have this problem. Theft or perversion. You know what is extremely rare these days? morals.
