CB help?

I just got a cobra 148 sound tracker. I have a large antenna and the cord that goes to it is about 20 feet, i was told that was to long? is this true? also is this a good radio?

Bump and what channel do yall texas boys stay on? i know that 19 is the mostly common for truckers.

20 ft of coax well I am running 18ft of coax. It really depends on where the antenna is, what is the antenna, the match of the antenna to the radio. Best thing to do is find a good CB shop by you. As for the Cobra 148 it is a good radio for talking on the standard 40 channels.

Use a good grade of coax and cut it 18 foot long and put a good grade of PL 259/s on each end.
