Snake's on a plane my butt - they're in my garage! LOL!!

Ok,
So I go crawl out of bed Saturday mornin' to take out the trash, open the garage door and my barefoot butt jumps about 30' back.
Junior here scared the crap out of me. I'm not a snake guy and unlike my wife's philosophy of kill 'em all and let the snake god sort 'em out, I generally only smoke the ones with neat little rattles on their tails. Anyway I was just curious what it was - oh and for the record I chased him around the garage FOREVER. He was docile as can be up until he got sick of me moving him around with the broom and started striking at it. Notice the last pic where once I got him out and headed back towards the bayou behind my house one of my neighbors cats saw him. The cat sized him up but never messed with him.

JW, Dave and few other guys were coming by to ride quads and BBQ, so I was getting the day going anyway but man that guy made me jump. Guess I'll go strapped to take the trash out next time.

Don't know what kind he is Alan.

When he was striking the broom... did he have fangs, or just a mouth full of teeth??

I don't know what kinda snake it was. I wanna say water mocasin but like you don't know jack about snakes. I know it was venamous though. That's about the only thing I do know is to look at the shape of the head to tell if it venamous or not.

Man, tuff 'hood if ya gotta carry just to take the trash out!

Seriously, it would really improve someone's aim trying to pop a snake at 20 or 30 feet!

Thanks John, I thought the sucker was a rat snake or something - otherwise I wouldn't have chased it around the garage barefoot in shorts.

Actually guy's he was as calm as can be but he finally got po'd with me shoving him around with the broom and started striking at it. I couldn't tell if he had teeth because when he would go at the broom he was striking too quick.

most snakes will leave you alone. They don't mess with you unless they feel threatened. And I'm sure he was feeling threatened when you were brooming him. Better than me. I'da grabbed a hoe and killed is azz. I hate snakes.

The only kind of snake I like is a dead one, and I still don't like them!
