Just my but I don't care if he is in the Navy. That sentence is way to lite. I guess that and the fact that he lives 2 blocks from me are influencing my decision. Not generally a person to broadcast the problems that the services have over the air but this one hit a nerve!!!!

Wow... I think if he wasn't a Navy man his sentence would have been more harsh, just my opinion... 9 months ain't enough for that, I don't care if you're the president of the United States!

yes it does, it hits close to home for me, i cant include details but i can say that i hope i meet the man that was invloved. he will pay. but i also have to work on a Government installation with 2 people who have been convicted of sex crimes and it disgusts me. they act like they shouldnt be treated any different. I TOTALLY DISAGREE, i dont think that they should be allowed to hold a civil service position with the government, i also dont think they should be allowed into public society with out some sort of brand on them to distinguish who they are and what they have done. i hope this man gets all that is coming to him. sorry for the rant but this is one subject that really angers me.

What really makes me mad is there is an E-6 that is on trial for the same thing and is facing 10-12 years. Not that either of them should be walking the street but preferential treatment p***ss me off. Why should an E-9 be treated any different on the outside than an E-6????????????????????????

I imagine being stuck on a boat for years at a time with 5,000 other men could dement some one a little bit LOL... but on a more serious not I honestly dont see how a grown man could even think about having sex with a 12 year old kid????? and i do see conditions where their should be a tolerance to some sex convictions for expample my buddie is a registered sex offender some thing he has to live with every day for the reason that he went to a bar bough a chick some drinks took her home and she ended up being 16... he had no knowledge of this she shouldnt have even been in a bar being under 21 and let me ask you all this when was the last time you asked for a girls ID before you took her home from a BAR??? then theirs a guy i work with that is a registered sex offender because he was 19 and his girl who he is now married to was 17 and her parents had him arrested... but i think that any man that would knowingly try to perform sexual acts with a child should be hung by his testicles on an electric fence regardless of his civil or militial status!

sick, very sick , in the jail where I work we normally house about 600 inmates, we have 1 sex offender dorm and it keeps about 25 inmates in it at all times, can't stand em', although some have stories to make you think they're innocent, still can't stand them

Actually, his being an E-9, means he should face stiffer penalty. He should be held to a higher standard. You know that due to his position he would have to vote for a stiffer penalty for those below him. Goes with the job, therefore, he should be held to that as a minimum and have the integrity to say, "I am guilty and deserve the same penalty as others below me or longer" treatment?? what is that? There is no "treatment".

9 months? they can't be serious. i'm sorry, but for the most part the "system" is all jacked up and not official or fair any more. Anymore, I just realize this world is spinning faster and faster... downward.
