8 car pile up

Happy Father's Day to me....................I was involved in an 8 car pile up on LBJ (635) this morning. All parties in my accident were okay, I cannot say the same for the other groups of vehicles. For those of you familiar with the area, the accidents started LBJ & Garland road and stretched to LBJ & Ferguson / Centerville rd. This is the first big wreck (multiple vehicles) I have been involved with in over 21 years behind the wheel. It looked like a NASCAR event with cars going sideways, others swerving to miss cars and me with no spotter to warn me.
The radio said 8 cars, we counted 15. The following damage is from the Tahoe that I made contact with. UPDATE 6:00 news reports that there were 15 separate accidents on the stretch of road where mine occurred.
Doesn't look too bad at first glance but we'll see once I start tearing into it.:









I will be tearing into it here in a little bit to see what hidden damage there is. Seemed to drive home fine, no pulling, or obvious funny noises, however I am noticing some coolant on the ground now up front after being parked so I won't be surprised to find radiator damage. Any ideas on what else I should look for?

UPDATE
Looks like I got away with a destroyed bumper and two bent bumper brackets. The puddle under the truck is just rain water that made it's way out of the bed. No apparent damage to the radiator, condenser, or tranny cooler.

Check the bumper brackets, intercooler, trans cooler, a/c condenser. I had someone back into the front of my truck about 2 months after I got it. It just looked like a bent bumper to me but the claims adjuster wrote a $1900 estimate for bumper, bumper brackets, a/c condenser, fog light, fog light bracket, + labor = almost $2k

man craig that sucks! Glad to hear no one was hurt. The only thing I can think to lookf for would be radiator and tranny cooler. Also not sure if the OBS's had an external power steering cooler but I'd check that too.

Dang Craig.. sorry to hear about that.. good to see there wasn't terminal damage to the stroke.... I say check it over very closely... even minor damage now could lead to major problems in the future. Glad no one was hurt... and good luck with the fix er up process

Dang! Sounds like a big ole pile up! Glad to hear everybody's ok... Especially you. Our trucks are easy enough to fix, our bodies tho are a little more touchy. Just happy everybody walked away.
