Whats in your Garden??

alright....i know....i know...im domesticated and boring.....but i love my garden and am growing a huge one. i think i finished planting it today (well....finished with plant types...still have to plant more seeds to have rotating crops).....but anyways i thought it would be fun to compare what everyone is growing..........here is my list....

Artichokes
Regular and yellow bell peppers
three kinds of hot peppers
Scallions
Green onions
Zuchinni
Spegetti squash
Eggplant
Broccholi
Coliflower
English cucubers
Sugar snap and Snow peas
Spinnich
White sweet corn
Watermelon
Cantalope
Five types of tomatos
A dwarf Lemon tree
lots of strawberries
a queen ann cherry tree
Soon to come is an Herb garden on some kind of patio plant stand set up......

you talkin legal plant's in the garden or...............just kidden. usualy tomato's, corn, green bean's, beat's, water melon's, cabbage. that knida junk.

Where's the Okra and Sweetpotatoes? We southern boy's can't live with out them.

i HATE yams and sweet potatoes....never had Okra.....

That was quick

If you like pumpkin pie I would bet you would like sweetpotatoe pie. As far as Okra I eat it both boiled and fried. Most people I know really like the fired.
I've seen some die hard northerners chow down on the fired okra.

i love pumpkin pie...but i dont like sweet potato pie......i give everything a chance.....i think one of the only other veggies i dont like is brussel sprouts...i love asperigus, spinach.....all the others people hate because they dont give it a chance....but i just dont like sweet potatos......

I'll have to agree about the brussel sprouts, they are not much to my taste
either! My wife told me boiled okra reminded her of snails (I don't know how to spell escargo) in butter sauce. But I'll just have to take her word for it.
She's cajun they eat anything that don't eat them first)

id like to try Okra.....but i would want someone who knew how to cook it do it for my first time....nothin worse than gettin turned off to something just cause it wasnt done right.....
