May have to give up the PSD

Ok, I bought my truck in January 2006. I still do not have a title which means I still do nto have a tag. I bought the truck in Georgia because it was the rig I wanted and worth the drive. That dealer had got the truck from Texas. I bought it and brought it to Alabama. Well the dealer have me a title application and all the paperwork that you normally get. Everything seemed cool. We have been fighting with the dealer for 2 months now and no luck. Alabama will not give me anymore extensions. I will have to park the rig in 10 days. I spoke to the leanding company and they have turned this into their fraud department. They told me he only has so many more days by law to get them the title or they can stop doing business with him "he is a capital one certified dealer" and they can make him pay for the truck.

I have contacted Georgia licensing and they gave me paperwork to file which will go against his business license. I spoke to the arbitration group and they gave me paperwork to file and told me to figure out what I wanted. If I want him to buy the truck back or pay the notes on it and for a rental until this is resolved.

Now the dealer does not knnow I have done all of this already. I contacted him yesterday again and he stated he will buy the truck back and for me to give him a price. The problem is that this is the rig I have always wanted. I mean down to the color and everything. so I do not want to get rid of it but I do not know how long this will go on and I need transportation also.

My question is what do you think about this? Should I sell it back or let the loan company deal with it and make him pay it? What price should he buy it back for from me? I paid 24,900. It is a 2002 F350 7.3 Crew cab, Short box, 4X4 Lariat, Grey with black two tone, grey heated leather, 119000 miles.

My other question is if I have to get rid of my rig then would you suggest me to buy another 7.3 or buy the 6.0? If I had the 6.0 it would stay in it stocks form except air filter and exhaust.

Wow, that is a crapper. If it was me, I would do everything I could to keep the truck, especially if it's everything you wanted. If you're leaning on selling it back, stick him for pay-off. Then add another $5-6 grand for you and your dream being ripped apart because of this a******. Just my

sounds complicated. as much as i hate lawyers, you may need one. the dealer has an obligation to do their job, and they failed. kinda leaves you in a tuff spot.
i personally would go with the 7.3l. seems to have less problems.

Yeah I want to keep my truck because I have only found 2 more like it for sale. I have figured a price that is payoff, plus all the stuff I have done to the truck, and extra which all came out to 28k which I am sure he will not want to pay but that is what I would need to get another one just like mine. I am hoping he will get the title thing straightened out but I am doubting it. We have some friends that are lawyers and have dealt with this before and they stated it is best to let the finance company and arbitration group go after him because they can hurt his business.

That just bites!!!!!!!!

My question, if he buys the truck back, how long will it take for him to pay the finance company???????? If he can't take care of the title..... wouldn't want to see you without a vehicle and still have a loan!

i am sure the finance company can get to the bottom of it, but it will not be a quick process i am sure. why exactly cant the dealer get the title straight on it?

I was kinda worried about the whole him paying the loan off also. This person is not trustworthy in my book. I am not sure what is wrong with the title. Something weird is going on. The title is still registered in Texas. Texas told me they show a lien with Ford Motor Credit. Ford Motor Credit said the lien was paid off July, 2005 which is when the dealer bought the truck and took it to Georgia. I called Texas back and that stated all that needs to be done is for Ford Motor Credit to fax them the payoff information and they will take the lien off the title. Now if that was that easy I would think this would have already been done. I think there is something more going on but I do not know what. The arbitration group stated they can file one of my options is for the dealer to pay the truck notes and for me a rental until this is settled and my other option is they can make him buy the truck back. I am kinda screwed almost any way you look at it I guess. I would hate to look at my rig everyday in my drive knowing I can't drive it and driving off in a little Kia or something.
