Any Lab Breeders out There

Looking for a Lab, for a family pet. Here in Oklahoma most of the Labs are the smaller American Lab, looking for a big headed barrel chested Chocolat Lab of english desent. I have found a couple breeders here in OK with the type of dogs I am looking for, but all the pups are spoken for and they are taking deposits for christmas, dont want to wait that long if I dont have to...........Thanks for any help, Tony

Hey Big Tone check with the local human society or animal shelters. Or even Animal rescues. Those dogs usually always make good family pets. Not a good source for hunting dogs though.

Also check the aka website for lab breeders in your area you might find some others near by you.

Your looking for an English bred Chocolate Lab Retriever.

The English Labs have the box build with the big block head.

Scott, I think you meant AKC.

Tony, go to AKC's site and find a field trial event close to your home. Ask if they have any pups that are pet quality. Also at a conformation show you can ask the exibitors the same question. A pet quality dog is significantly cheaper than a show dog. Also some breeders want to place/adopt out an older, retired show dog. Keith

Hey Keith, AKC American Kennel Club, AKA American Kennel Association. Two different organizations but basically the same thing. AKC gets alot more reckoningnition. Either one works.
