well I would really think about that..... yes they may pay for your school.... but you really need to look into it cause they don't pay for it you get so much money a month then you pay for it...... if you have to pay lets say $100 a month and you only get $80 from them well you gotta pay for it yourself but yes there is so many ways you can get money for them to do this..... but if you happen to do this make sure you get everything in writing....... if they are gonna tell you that you will get this much money for school don't sign anything untill you say let me see it on paper then sign..... but you still have to remember there is always a chance that you may have to go to Iraq or elsewhere...... and the recruiter can not tell you that you will not ever go cause they have no control over that............... hopefully this will help ya out

Be real careful about joining for the school assistance. I will hit my 19th year in Aug. So far I haven't received 1 red cent from them for my school.

Every tuition assistance program I applied for thru the VA last year was denied. This after 2 deployments.

The Montgomery GI Bill was the thing you got when I first joined. But now that I'm in a position to use it they tell me I only had 10 years to use it. That I am no longer eligible .

Not to mention you get deployed right along with the active duty troops, yet they start drawing their retirement as soon as they hit 20 years, where as I will have to wait another 22 years until I reach age 60.

Yes you have hit on a sore subject with me here.
