Best all inclusive??
I'm shopping for a week long getaway with my wife this spring. Looking towards Cuba/Dominican possibly, but nothing is decided. Could I get some advice from people who have done this before?
Criteria for us would be: -Not a party place (we're in our early 30's but neither of us drink) -Must be very clean -Classy -Great food -Potential to take my wife for some relax time on a nice beach that isn't smothered in tourists -Locals who give a **** about the tourists and cater to them would be great. |

I did the Dominican Republic last winter and it was awesome. Has everything you are looking for if you go the right places. Can be very depressing if you go to the wrong ones

We honeymooned in Dominican Republic in the Jack Tar Villages on the north side of the island. I've also done the Jack Tar in Bahamas and Puerto Vallarta. Food was good and available nearly around the clock. Situated near many activities. The booze were the local or cheap stuff, but free, but then you don't need that except maybe for medicinal purposes, like me.
My wifes idea of primitive camping is a four star hotel, so expectations are up there. Obviously, I'd do a Jack Tar again. |
