Attention all campers..

The family and I are wanting to do a couple weeks camping with our travel trailer next month. We have been contemplating where to go. We've done most everything in Texas (Texas is big ya know ) and have gone north as far as Missouri but not much in it. We were thinking of hitting Colorado with the jeep and doing the Alpine loop or some mild trails but, Colorado will have 15' of snow still in May. Also thought about heading to the Rubicon on the west side of lake Tahoe. Haven't been able to find out the opening dates for that yet. 4wheeling isn't a must since my kids are still pretty young but, I hate going somewhere and not having anything to do when I get there. So if anyone knows of great places to spend time, don't hesitate to let it fly. So far the best we have come up with is Branson, Missouri. Not that Branson is bad, we just want a few to pick from.

PS. Hey Alan, what would it take to get a folder added to include great camping spots. I bet it would fit nicely between the Motorsports and Fishing folders.
With the amount of people with PSDs that pull an rv, I'm betting we together have a wealth of camping places and stories we could share.

If you ever get north as far as michigan do the circle tour around Lake Superior. Of course I would recommend you wait till fall and the color season when the leaves are changing!

That sounds real interesting. It would be tough though to hit at that time of year for me. I just promoted and so I'm at the bottom of the list for vacation time. Everyone at work wants the fall times for hunting so the spots get snatched up fast. I'll keep it in mind though. You got some trail names that I can google?

I don't like you anymore.......ok I do, I'm just jealous. I miss my Jeep and we decided to hold off on buying a camper - I mean jeez my kids want to go to college, how selfish can they get cutting into my toy fund like that.

That sounds REALLY fun! I'll be more than happy to add that forum as I know we've a lot of camper & RV folks on the site.

If you want to see some beautiful stuff!

And like to canoe you should try Northern MN. Try around the boundry waters but with all the dang lakes in MN you will love it anywhere.
