Have you ever thought of Stone Mountain, GA? (Stone Mountain Park: Georgia theme park in Atlanta) (Leading Atlanta Attractions: Biggest Attractions in Atlanta) (NEW World of Coca-ColaŽ - Atlanta, GA - Opens May 24) It's just out side of Atlanta, GA which has lots to do a Six Flags theme park, Atlanta Aquarium (which was donated by the founder of Home Depot & it's massive), and the Coca-Cola educational center. It's nestled just out side of the city in the woods and has lots to do on and around the mountain, the mountain itself is a natual wonder of pure rock. They have special feature about the confederacy and lazer light shows. Depending on the season they have different things going on.. |

The temps will be quite decent next month all around those areas... Now the Painted Desert, Petrified Forest and Monument Valley themselves have little in the way of trees but I hunt literally on the edge of the South Rim of the Grand Canyon and it's smack in the middle of the Kaibab Forest... Depends on what time of year but they often have open camping where we hunt (open camping is where it's at when we hunt)... In the middle of the trees and lots of forest roads to explore... Might even see some food (um elk
)......Yes, the scenery is diffenernt much of the way because you are in the "desert Southwest" but..... What can I say, the Grand Canyon area is just wonderful this time of year (the high today is going to be about 65)... Dry, very few bugs, oh yeah, it is the Southwest.... Ken.... |
