You know...I never gave it any thought til you just mentioned it. So, I guess it's fine.

Since you asked me that...I got up and checked the other knives I carry and both my Benchmade and Browning are that way as well...is this unusual?

Not unusual just not common. I like it that way even though I dont own one like that
