Identity theft

Anybody ever been a victim? I think that I may be

My wife has been recieving "Explanation of benefits" letter from our insurance co. for about a year, claiming she had a kid, an a few other misc things. Problem is, she's never had a kid, and the hospital that she supposedly had the kid, is over 2 hours away from me, in Pueblo (wetback central). I have called to get credit reports to check those, but I don't know that she/he has tried any financial theft from me other than the services rendered for her illegitiment child.

My question, have you ever heard of someone stealing anothers ID just to use it for medical reasons? Seems like a retarded thing that a wetback would do, not realizing that they just have to go to the ER for FREE healthcare, and take money from me LEGALLY

No, not really. They aren't paying for the services anyway. I called them about this in Oct of 09 and they had it under investigation, so they decided not to pay for any of it, which is good. But I still have an azzhole out there using my info for God knows what. What I wouldn't give to find that person.......

Well hopefully the insurance company can find them. At least they're not paying out anymore benifits.

Well I had my credit card numbers stolen not to long ago. Luckily they had only spent $300 before I figured it out and canceled the card. To this day I have no idea how they got my info.

The insurance company doesn't care, as long as they're not paying for the services. Its in my hands to determine what I need to do to clear this up and get my identity back

I misplaced a W-4 tax form, and think that maybe it got thrown away. This may be how this chit started, but who knows. If they have my SS, they can get a lot more I think, cars, homes, etc. If they're smart enough, which it doesn't sound like they are

Its a bunch of BS that I'm going to have to go through to get this cleared up, and this c0ck gets off scott free most likely, and finds someone else to steal from.

Have had my identity stolen from "a friend" and almost four years ago when my mortgage lady was running my stuff she called me and said, did you know you have a different name and you are working in Florida?

Luckily for me, my employer pays for Identity theft protection on all of its employee's.
I get alerts anytime my credit file is opened.
They also will do all the work on getting my identity back, if it is stolen.

I have no idea how much this service costs, but it may be something to look into.
