Wal*Mart receipt checkers
I have seen a few posts on other sites lately about Wal*Mart receipt checkers and people refusing to let them examine their carts and receipts. How do you guys feel about it? Just hand them the receipt and tell them to have fun, their lives suck enough already? Absolutely refuse and walk out anyway?
I know I am gonna get flamed, but I normally chose to ignore them and simply go to my car/truck and drive away. I know that they have a loss prevention department and if they thought that I was there with the intention to steal that they would be waiting for me at the door with a LEO or something along those lines. It's not that I simply want to cause trouble, well maybe a little. I truly try to avoid Wal*Mart like the plague, but sometimes it's unavoidable, they are the only place open you you need something now and it can't wait till morning. I just don't feel like they have that right and with all of the crap Wal*Mart dose/has/will do, everyone should stand some ground. |

Heres how I feel about it, if you don't like the way they do buisiness then don't shop there!

Why ignore them? I don't get it. It takes all of what 10 seconds for them to look and most times they don't even look you just show you have a receipt and they let you go.

Um, I guess I'm more than a little confused about this. You choose to go into Walmart, a privately owned place of business, and you say they don't have the right to have someone check your receipt/purchases at the door? How so? |

Walmart doesnt even do that up here. Sams Club however does

Just give them the da_mn receipt and get out of there. I have a love/hate relationship with Wal-mart. I love wal-mart but i can't stand all the ghetto people who shop there. A lot of the employees look and act like they hate customers but I don't want to generalize too much about the employees because quite a few of them are good hard-working people just like you and me and are just trying to earn a living. I must say that they absolutely have the right to check your reciept though.

I knew I was gonna get flamed for this. I feel that once I purchase the item(s) I own them and I have a right privacy. I understand that I am going into their place of business, but I really try hard not to go there. In the last month I went once and it was only for medication, they have the nearest 24hr pharmacy.

RIGHT to search my bag and compare against the receipt, but I don't have to LIKE it. I don't like being suspected of theft. If Walmart is THAT concerned about it, then they should do like some other stores do, and configure their exits so they are only accessible through the checkout lanes. |
