A guy on another forum (not diesel or vehicle related) asked what type of oil to use and this "guy" had this to say.....................

"01 so i am guessing you got well over 50,000 miles. i only use royal purple, BUT when you go syntheic you cant go back to regular oil.

royal purple oil change is normally double the price but you dont have to change the oil for 6000 miles. so it is the same.

i changed out all my fluids to royal purple and truck shifts and drives better.....

i've heard people say dumb crap like that, just plain stupidity. i have one not automotive related. we were leaving my wife's sister's house in virginia and i was going to take a two lane back but my sister-in-law suggested i take the interstate because the deer are really bad and you don't have that problem on the interstate.

Oh crap.........here's some more....

haha i love these things...... i have heard ppl say it all the time tho.......that goin from synthetics to regular oil can rot seals and rubber o-rings.....

i just stick w/ 1 oil....
