Prayers needed

My nephew lost his wife today. She would have been 23 next month. He lost her to an accident with a drunk driver from last Sunday. They were headed home with their 2 yr old. A drunk mexican ran a stop sign [going close to 100 mph the gut confessed when he came to] and hit them in the side of the truck. The wreck threw his wife through the passenger side window which was rolled up. The other guy didn't have a U.S. license, probably no green card, and while the accident report said he had Nationwide Insurance, I highly doubt it. Ashley was taken to the hospital, checked out, stayed over night, and was released that Monday evening. She was bruised up and sore but in good spirits. I even joked with her about going through the window,'' What, you can't wait for the truck to stop before you beat his but for wrecking your truck'' and she managed a laugh. She loved that truck and was getting a brushguard for Christmas, only had it a few months. Yesterday she had trouble standing up from her legs going numb. Her mother-in-law tried to get her to go back to the ER, she just dismissed it.[That girl was stubborn, I loved her for that, she didn't let nothing go] She was talking and acting fine this morning, went to lay down. Her mother-in-law heard her snoring[ she's never did this before] and went to check on her. She was laying on the floor and had quit breathing. 911 was called, the ambulance only had 5-8 miles each way, but Ashley was gone. They managed to save her unborn child and put her in critical care. Ashley was 8 months pregnant so the baby was taken early. We won't know for 24-48 hrs if she will make it [she was fighting hard when we left] and 2-4 months if the little girl has any side effects from lack of oxygen. Matt has the hardest job of anyone I know. He will have to tell his 2 yr old son where mom is, become the single parent of 2 kids, and bury his wife this week. I know this is tough times, everyone has debt, and the usual grinch things. Be glad you have that much. I just ask for all of the prayers you guys and girls can come up with for Matt. He needs everyone. Thanks Tracy

No news is good news, all I can update you with is the little girl wrinkled her nose like her mom last night. I haven't heard anymore from my sister-in-law. We've knocked off 24 so it got to be getting better.
