I was just thinking that we have some members on here that were only 8 or 9 when this happened. I know my kids understand but do those kids.

I remember I was on the way to school, 6th grade, when the local country station broadcast the news of the attacks. I remember the exact spot on the road where we were at the time, then at school we watched the news all day. That was my first experience with anything like that, before that I was just a kid worried about what I was gonna do after school. I remember seeing the terrified faces on the TV, the buildings falling, the months of cleanup and grieving, and i remember a nation that came together to fight those who were behind that attack. Sadly many of those people now no longer feel threatened and act as though they really have forgotten. I will never forget and I'll make sure that when I have kids they too will know what happened on that day.
