Put my dog down today. ):

My dog has cancer - Lymphoma.

Well he's gone. Almost 11 years old, purebred boxer. We've had him since he was 1. Been my best friend for a looooong time. Pretty sad to see him go but it's for the best. He had health problems racking up, such as sleep apnea, hip displasia, dandruff, and the big one - lymphatic cancer. We counted 11 tumors/warts varying in size (that we could see on the outside). We made it his "Best last day" today. He got a cheeseburger for breakfast along with cookies, and some of his other favorites. He was a good dog.
So kinda bummed, but he's much better off now.

thats a horrible thing to have to do. I have had to put one of mine down and seen a couple more of mine die by other causes.
Pets become one of the family, they sleep with us, ride with us, play with us and eat with us. Its just like losing a son, brother or other family member. I am so sorry bro.

No we got a cat a long time ago to ease the loss for my little brother, she's like another dog in all honesty. And there aint a replacement for him lol.

Sorry to hear of your loss. I have had several that I have had to put down and the only thing that will ease the pain is time. As the pain fades you will be able to go back to all the great memories of the great times you had together. I would not get a "replacement" for him yet you will know when the time is right. JJ

Oh man, I'm sorry for your loss. The lady we got our mastiff from just lost hers. We've been there ourselves; it sure leaves a big hole. I still miss "Truck", 4 years and 2 dogs later, but I smile when I remember her now instead of getting sad.
