Got me a job!
Started today for a new company. Looks to be long term.
![]() I interviewed Monday and felt like I was hired before I showed up. The guys running the interview kept mentioning how the company was looking for a lead man to run another crew. When money came up, I didn't have to dicker. I got what I wanted. This company works 40 hour a week and most jobs are an hour from the house. I'm making money and have a life. Now I need to find my golf clubs. |

I had a pre-interview interview today. It's looking very well so far. I went down last week to the compay terminal to put in an application after I was called by the district manager to do so if I am "interested in working for this company". I skipped part of it (diesel mechanic, I left driving blank, easy mistake.) So I got a call from the Shop Manager that he had the application and my resume in front of him and wanted me to come back down to fill out the part I missed (says something I think). Turns out the district manager graduated from the college I just graduated, and the shop manager grew up in the same city as me. Small world. So he said they are gathering up applications and will be scheduling interviews and the conversation ended with him saying "Well we'll be talking! Thank you sir!" Lookin good, gotta cross my fingers.
Sorry for the partial hijack. I'm excited too! Keep in mind I'm in MICHIGAN!
