Post Count?

So exactly WTF do you all think post count gets you? Mine could be zero at all times and it wouldn't phase me at all. Seriously there is no special privilege to a high post count. I am all for blowing off steam and letting loose every once in awhile but the amount of pure post wh0re threads the last few days have pissed me off. Anybody care to explain themselves? I am all ears.

While I agree Dave that post count does show a more active user. If all you are posting is crap what is the point.

I agree. I'm all for BS'ing on the site, but not to the point of throwing pointless threads all over the home page...

Well actually I have slowed down quite a bit on here. I don't know if you all have noticed but I have not been very active on here.

Why is that may you ask. Well be honest I am getting tired of all the bickering, and post count competetion. It is just getting tired old if you catch my drift. So I have been coming on here helping a few members out with helpful posts. But I have been trying to figure one thing out. Has the site gotten to big. I really miss the small site that we once had. Where people would fill the chat room nightly. Instead of posting up every little thing they could think about.

Was I once about post count yes. Do I think post count means something. Yes I do, I think it means if I want or need to get ahold of someone. I bet I can get a hold of a member with a high post count. Better yet look at the average posts per day. If I send Dave a pm. I bet I will get a rapid response back. Why because he is on here often.

But some of the stuff on here is getting stupid. Sponsors pushing their product on people. Do they have a great product they may have. But does that mean that when someone posts a question about something that is similar to the product they sell or make. They step in bashing the brand that the person with a question has. Stepping all over the persons thread about the product they produce or sell. It is getting old.

Members being banned multiple times. This is mainly an adult site. Family friendly but we are all pretty much over 18. Lets start acting like it again.

I guess the bottom line is I am lurking more and more on here then being active. Btw hunting season is around the corner and I am going to spend a lot of time in the woods this year.
