Complete random health thread...

So I am just curious. Who has their thyroid and who doesnt? I havent had mine for a few years now, kind of a mishap during procedures to find out what was wrong with me... So I am having a hard time trying to control my thyroid medication.

I feel so crappy all the time on one medication, better on another, the other gets backordered by the manufacturer so now I am back on synthroid at 150. I am just so tired of feeling crappy on it but I didnt have a choice as to going back on it.

I up the dose myself and I feel better. I know that is stupid but I am so tired of doctors, tests, getting blood taken. I am tired of being hot, tired of being cold, tired of being tired.. I just want my thyroid back, there was nothing wrong with it and I usually dont think about not having it but when I feel bad I do and at times it makes me upset....

I guess I just want to know who else has these kind of problems. What do you do differently that I am not doing...

I am so glad to be alive, have a job, a roof over my head. I never complain about life, other people have it so much worse.

My "like a sister to me" friend jst had hers removed last week. After YEARS of medications for Bi-polar, they figured that it was her thyroid causing all the mood swings, manic characteristics, etc. So far she seems normal- not hyped up or depressed like before. I am kinda wondering where this will all go. Good luck getting the right combination with the meds.

God that is so true, except without mine i need to be on an anti-depressant which sucks. I had 1 of 4 parathyroids turn into a tumor in my chest when it was susposed to be in my neck, birth defect. Took a years worth of tests to find a doctor willing to go into my chest and venture around after the thyroid removal. If anything my life hasnt been the same since it has been out.

If I start running it needs to be adjusted, If i stop for a few weeks then it is off again. I just think I need a new doctor.
