I leave the keys in both of my rides every night. Boat stereo has been there for 8 years, and we only lock the doors when we leave town. That sound like a serious theft problem here?

From an article dated May 22, 2009. Not too long ago. Compare the unemployment rates to national and other states.

WACO- Some good economic news as, state and local unemployment numbers go down. Area communities tell News Channel 25 Central Texas is faring better than the rest of the state and nation for a reason.

"I think it's the business friendly community that continues to attract companies and our local companies are doing well," said Jim Vaughn, with the Waco Chamber of Commerce.

In Waco, the unemployment numbers dropped from 5.9 percent in March to 5.5 in April. Down the road in the Temple and Killeen area, nearly the same. There was a drop from 5.9 percent to 5.6.

Check out City-Data.com for tons of useful info about almost every city in U.S. cost of living, rents, home values, education rates, etc... Stats about all US cities - real estate, relocation info, house prices, home value estimator, recent sales, cost of living, crime, race, income, photos, education, maps, weather, houses, schools, neighborhoods, and more

Check out monster.com, careerbuilder.com, kwtx.com/jobsearch (for central TX jobs) Waco, Temple, Kileen newspapers online.

I moved here from VA for a job last year and like it a lot. (except for the whole 100 plus temps for weeks at a time thing)
