eg SD-709 is a 7 piston compressor with a 9 cubic inch displacement
Also marketed by a company named Endless Air in Austrailia.
The compressor has a few mods done to it and it's good to go without any pre-oiler or oil separator.
I've got one for my OBS, just have to make some brackets, etc to fit it in.
Cost me $40.00 at the wrecker, 10% of what the Extreme outback unit costs.

Yup it is done on our rock crawler all the time. A York can be used with just and air filter on the intake. Other styles can be used. But to lube the compressor the intake side is mounted to the PCV system of the engine. The oil mist in the PCV hose it what is used to keep the compressor lubed up. JJ
