buying a snowmobile
well sence im in the cold country now im looking at buying a sled. was wanting to see if anyone has tips to look for when buying one. have bought and sold bikes and trucks. but not sleds.....

m1 or m8 they are the **** if you are looking in to getting a 2 stroke.if not i will give you some more options.i run fleet maint. at a ski resort in colorado so i know all about sleds.

look to see if the speedo works. if not, its a flag to tell you that the drive bearings may be gone. i too am partial to arctic cats, having an m6, zr800 custom and many more but in the end they are all junk and they are the best. i have been working at a shop for 15 years as well so i have seen them all break. use your best judgement when buying. a person who has worked on machinery of any kind can kinda tell if something looks abused or not. how much snow do you get in your area? that will make selecting suggestions easier for us. obviously you know how to ride since you've had bikes and such. how much power you looking for roughly?

well i have been told that it gets about 8 to 10 feet in the mountains. theres an artic cat down the road from me that im going to look at was just wondering. if it helps ill be riding north of laramie wy.
