My new old project

I recently decided that it would be a good project to let my son sit through if I got back to restoring my 1982 RM250. I have two, and put them up for sale on Craigslist, after a million people called me on them I found out they were pretty sought after and worth quite a bit in restored condition. Turns out there is still a vintage motocross class, and this was Suzuki's first year for water cooling which made them a little quicker than the other makes.

So now they're off of Craigslist and being stripped down in my garage for lots of polishing, powdercoating, and reassembly. While I was digging around the barn I also found an old Works Cone Expansion Chamber and Silencer like the racers ran back when these were new. It's going back together with a Wiseco HC Piston Kit and Boyesen CF Reed Valves, which that Works Pipe will really compliment after I have it PolyDyn Coated CeramiChrome. I'll try and get some pics up this weekend of the starting phase, and keep posted here since my wife want's to document. It's my 6 yr. old's first big project, so he's pretty excited.
