My cousin has a 01' Suzuki 1500, his rear differential gets very very hot when riding, so hot that you don't want to touch it. I have a 07 Honda 1100 and after riding for 100 miles I can place my hand on my rear diff. and it's warm but won't scorch you like his. Does anyone know what the temperature should be for the rear diff. on a bike?? Roughly? The local motorcycle shop checked his rear out and said everything is fine but it bothers us with it getting so hot. Thanks fellas.
