Banshee Owners

Well my poor baby hasn't been ridden since last August. Tried to start her earlier this year with many taken turns to no avail.

Talked with my friend last week and they are planning a dune trip the weekend of the 16th (August) and I was invited (she loves me going because I bring all the food and do all the grilling.)

After the excitement of sharing the cost of heading to the dunes, my thoughts turned to the dreadfull task of getting this tempremental beast started.

Got home tonight and thought, my gawd I don't want to have to take the carbs apart. I chose to take the easy way out knowing it's old fuel in there. CARB CLEANER!

It took a bit and I got a total aerobic workout but she fired! The third time she actually stayed running but died when I completely left off the throttle. Waited a bit, mainly to let her cool off since it's 90 degrees and fired her up again, still a little rich but stayed running!

Dunes here I come! Just wanted to share my excitement.

Hey and don't rip on me for not riding in a year.... been too busy watching over this place.

one of my riding buddies traded his Raptor 700 (or whatever they are) in on a street bike because I wasn't riding enough.

I'll never get rid of her but honestly didn't expect it to be THAT long in between rides.

Thank you! I'm actually a little nervous! But that'll probably only last for about the first 5 gears!

It'll be a few weeks but I'll make sure I take my camera and make a point to take more pics!

This reminds me that I need to get a new battery for mine. It seems that it's been a while since I've benn on it also.
As a side note, my yamaha ate the air filter after it had sat for a long time. It seem that it had sat long enough for the element to dry rot. Might want to check yours if you haven't.
