Hey I was wondering if anyone on here has any info about these. I am picking one up tomorrow for a great deal. The body is a little rough. But it runs great. I just want some thing for around my house when we do get enough snow on the ground.

What info are you looking for, I'm sort of an amateur vintage snowmobile guy... I have a couple still that we race. Vintage snowmobile racing is huge out in this part of the state. Get some pics of it and let me know what kind of info you're looking for. If I dont know, I know I can definitely find out for you.

Heck BC from racing vintage and newer sleds I know a thing or 3 about sleds. I didnt know that there were any other sleds made in the 70's other then Mercury, Yamaha and Polaris? I learn something every day. How much did they pay you to take that ol lawn ornament? Any pics?

You didn't know any ones other than those three? You would crap yourself if you only knew... sled manufacturers were popping up faster than anything back then. There were something close to 100 different snowmobile manufacturers back then...

Just to name a small, SMALL, few manufacturers

The usual-

arcitc cat
polaris
ski-doo
yamaha
rupp
mercury
sno-jet
john deere
scorpion
ski-whiz
moto-ski
Allied
Boa Ski
Chaparral
Evinrude
Harley Davidson
Johnson
Polaron
Sears
Skiroule
Sno Prince
Viking

There are many others too....

A lot of the big companies put more into their race sleds back then, than they do now. A guy we race with races his vintage sled on ovals at eagle river for the world championship against modern sleds and places very well.

340 Jags were a nice machine. Its probobly air cooled I can't remember if it was fan cooled. The track sucked as they were metal tracks. Good little machine to tear up the yard or ice fish with

haha sorry, I couldn't tell if you were being sarcastic or not...

We currently run a 76 sno jet 440 in the stock class, and a yamaha enticer 340 in the open class... the little 340 fan with a stock pipe is putting down 56hp on the dyno...
