ATV ?
I have a 2004 Arctic Cat 500 4X4, my wife rides a 2003 Suzuki Z400, I'm thinking of getting my step son a new Suzuki Ozark 250, but I can't justify paying almost $3,500 for a little 250 2wd. I'm looking at a 04 Arctic Cat 650
4X4 with 1000 miles on it (my 04 has 2500) for $4,350. I would feel much better buying this and giving my step son my 500 which he will never out grow rather than getting him a little 250 which he'll be to big for in a few years. Whats ya'lls opinion? eBay Motors: 2004 Arctic Cat 650 V-Twin 4 x 4 Four Wheeler ATV (item 170141110376 end time Aug-25-07 16:40:34 PDT) |

Well my opinion is How old is your step son. How big is he. Looking at a 250 and then giving a 500 is a big difference. How much experince does he have riding. I would look at a honda 300 foreman for him. It comes in 4wheeldrive shaft driven and I am sure you can find used ones that run great. It is hard to kill a honda.

we have a auction down here also, they usually have a bunch of Arctic Cat's also, I've never been to one but I've always wondered how much I could save

he's 11, rides great, he rides my 500 all over our land and down the roads, I wouldn't turn him loose on it on the side a a mountain or anything, but I wouldn't do that with him on a 250 either, the old 300 fourtrax are great rides but I'd rather get him something he can really go somewhere on in the future when he gets bigger

Alot of atv injuries or deaths are caused by people that are inexperinced or kids on a machine that is to big for them. When I was his age I was riding a 250x fourtrax I was 5'8" and wieghed in around 140. Just to give you a comparison. |

well we just ride where we want to down here, nobody's gonna bother anyone about what your riding, heck we never see anybody, all of our riding is mainly done on private land, a 250 Ozark is like 420 lbs, my 500 Arctic Cat is like 600, either way if it gets on him he's screwed, and since I was 6 I've been on a 300 or bigger

I have a Kawasaki Prairie 360 4x4 with a bigfoot kit, ITP alloys, 589's, and a warn winch I might be willing to get rid of for about $4000. Its an 05 but its been ridden very little. It doesnt have an hour meter, but I would say its under 50hrs. Im up above birmingham if your interested.

thanks, but I think I'm going to go with a bigger unit for myself and give him my 500, I'm also looking at a 05 650 Arctic Cat with 400 miles on it for $4,500
