Places to ride ATV's in MD.
Does anyone have any suggestions or info on some good places to ride in Maryland? I'm in the Baltimore area and we are looking for places that are within an hour or two. We would consider driving further and spending the night but no one has an enclosed trailer and we would be concerned about the security of our ATV's. I've heard about Minersville, PA. , anyone have any info on this place?
Thanks in advance for your suggestions. |

No prob. It was rather disturbing though, that you really don't have very many places to ride.
I guess I'll stay in Oregon!![]() http://www.oohva.org/pages/map.html |

Looks like there are a lot of places in PA, some within 150 miles of me which isn't too bad. I'll check West Virginia tonight when I get home, I'm hoping for more there also.

Hey Brian,
I used to belong to Tower City Trail Riders which is about a half hour closer to you than Minersville. I stopped going cuz all my riding buds got rid of their atv's and plus the membership is pretty steep if you only use it a few times. It was definatly a good riding area and i don't think they have an issue with criminal activity because its more a club than a free for all and i think you can camp there as well. They have a good trail system as well. Here is a link to them Rausch Creek Trailriders There is also a place called Trevorton further north that requires a permit but it cheaper and less organized. I've never ridden there so i can't elaborate on that aspect of it. If you would need a place to camp out i'm only 30-45 minutes from Tower City. Got 2.5 acres in the country and i'm 4 miles from http://sleepymx.com/directions.htm Last edited by DirtyWhiteBoy; 07-05-2011 at 04:41 PM. |

You are right about the Tower City being expensive, too bad they don't let you do at least a 1/2 day test ride.
That's a shame about Pocomoke, I heard they closed it because of too much rain last year. Maybe they'll reopen next year. |
