Which ATV

I can imagine 4wheelers are loyal to brands just like truck guys are but I need an honest opinion.

For those of you that know me, my wife and I own a small horse ranch in Arlington. We've been looking for a good used ATV 4X4. I do not want to spend a fortune as I am paying cash and my limit is $2500-$3000.
I keep finding 400 polrais' from the late 90's and a few late 90 Suzuki's as well. I need the utility type ATV. and I want something that with maintenece will last. I know how to look for a ragged out bike and I assume the ATV's are roughly the same.

Any guidance would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Paul

please stay away from the poooolaris. honda is at the top of the line in the durability department, then i would go with the yamaha. the suzukis will run, but for how long is a good question.

no problem. i mess with the atvs quite a bit around here and it seems like the hondas and yamahas will hold up well. i am sure there will be others that dissagree, but to each their own.

me? yes. i have the rincon 650, my dad has the grizzley 450 and my buddies have the 660's. the 660 will out run the honda, but i am stuck on the honda, i like the ride better. yamaha has been doing their homework on their machines. i mainly mess with the sport bikes though.

Yea, 4X4 is a must, lots of towing feed sacks around and small trailers with manure in thick sand,

I'm sorry, but I got called away from the puter earlier, check this out New Vehicles from Abernathy's Cycle Sales - Honda/Yamaha/Polaris Dont know how far from Union City, Tenn. you are but for me it was worth the fuel and time spent.
Unless you can find that great deal on a clean used ATV its usually better to buy new, and from what you say you will be using it for I'd go at least 400cc.

Well guys I found a good used one last night. A 99 Kawasaki Prairie 400 4X4 one owner and it appears to be in good shape $2400.00 Its been sitting for about a year with no use and still has the original tires on it. Its the nicest I've seen since we started looking.

Hey if the used Kawi doesn't work out, go to Southern Honda on the internet, it's in Chatanooga TN, and they are the #1 selling Honda dealer in the Nation. There prices blows everyone else out the water.
