Let's Talk Nascar

Ok yall well it is about half way through the season. The person with the most wins this season may not even make the cut for the chase. That is right long time veteran driver Mark Martin leads the season in wins. He has 4 wins this season. But he is currently in 12 place. Now here is the kicker now Nascar is debating about changing the rules of the chase. Instead of having it be the top 10 it will be the top 12. This would include Mark Martin as of now and Matt Kenseth.

But there is another way Nascar is looking at changing the rules for the cup. Forget point standings. Nope not gonna matter at all. They are thinking that if you won a race during the season, were the previous season champ, or are in the top ten of the points then your in the chase.

Here is what I say for nascar, for get the chase to the cup. Let all drivers be elgible for the cup. Who ever has the most wins for the season is the Champ of the season. I think this will stop some of this baby driving we see on Sunday. More drivers will be more aggressive to win.

Right now you can get into the cup if you finish every race in the top ten. You can even come out as the champ as long as you finish at least in the top ten of every race.

Hmmm forget that I want to see old school Nascar where you drive to win.

I don't really care what they do as long as Martin gets in. I met him at Daytona this year and he is the nicest guy .

He has been my all time favorite driver. Although since he jumped ship from Roush Racing I no longer root for him. Because he does not drive a blue oval. I understand it was a hard decission for him to make. But Roush at the time was giving a lot of attention to Matt Kenseth, especially since Matt won the cup in 04.

I don't care if the other drivers let Mark win the cup. He deserves it and I know that is the only reason he came back as a full time driver this year. Is so he can win the cup and go into full retirement.

I've been a fan of Mark's since he first started with Roush and I continue to be a fan, I've met Mark several times and he's a great ambassador for NASCAR. I like the fact that he's just having fun now and doing great.
