OK...so the Clutch install is going to take an extra few hrs. I got everything done except for the following: Got to torque the front and rear driveshafts down. Re-intall the flex-plate (do I REALLY need to do that? If not, someone call me in the morning!!!) Re-install the shifter Fix the tranny cooler line I broke...(b/c the fitting was sticking and didn't realize it) Get the tranny x-member 100% back together. (I might have to drop the exhaust to do that) And...put the battery cables back together. They open at 0900 so I'm there at 0830 to make sure I can start right away. I'll give everyone a call when I get it all buttoned up, so y'all know when I'm leaving! |

Wrap-Up: Ok...so I finally finished the clutch on Saturday Morning. It was a PITA!!! I did nearly all the work myself, with just a little help lining the tranny up from the guys at the hobby shop. Saturday afternoon we all rolled to Marty's/Steve's to install the nitrous. +2 points to Marty and Dave for the IC pipe work. We did everything expect for mounting the bottle...which I figured out today. I just used two of the bolts that held the plastic box behind the seat. It works pretty good...but there are only 2 bolts holding the bottle brackets. It doesn't move though. We also took the Back seat out...which is STILL in the bed of my truck. I'll be dropping that off at a friend's house tomorrow. I also cleaned the HECK out of the truck. All I have to do now is vacuum it and wash out the BS from the bed. I must have taken out 100lbs of pure crap. All in all...it's been a REALLY hard last four days. I DO NOT want to do it again any time soon!!! |
