Well the good news first, a hot blond behind every tree.
 The bad news, no trees, so the story when I was in.  This is one of the six bases when I was in SAC 69 – 73 was a possibly could of been assigned to. Got Wartsmith AFB, Oscoda MI, B52H Avionics. They get some very nasty weather this time of year, one will require a way to keep a diesel warm one way or another when it drops below 20 or so.  Good luck and thank you for serving.  Joe P. Good ol' "Why not Minot..."
Never got stationed there, but other than the cold winters and trying to keep your truck warm. It should be an alright place... I'm sure there's worse places to get stationed at...

Well im stationed there right now and its really not that bad. Im a specialist on the b52h engines so im always out side but its and alright base. The only con would be that its hard as hell to keep your truck warm but its possible. Well good luck and maybe we will run into eachother if you do get stationed here.

Not a bad place if you're an outdoors kinda guy who doesn't mind the cold and snow. Also a great place to have a family, since crime (besides ARIs) is virtually nonexistent. It's a pretty small base, and the workload isn't too bad when we're not on exercises, but there are quite a few of them. It all depends on what your job is though, if you're a maintainer it won't be an amazing experience for ya... we get screwed over more than most (besides SF). Just my

no go on the orders for me, i'm getting med boarded.
if your working on buffs though, keep an eye out for nchornets son. he's a new crew dog that just got stationed there.
