Move to Winston-Salem?

I am graduating from Bowling Green State University this December, and have received a job offer from a construction contractor working in Winston-Salem. I am not familiar with the area, I know of Trucks Unlimited and the large group of powerstrokers there. But in regards to the environment, community, city, climate, etc. Could I get some feedback about how you all feel about the area I would really appreciate it; I need to get some things figured out in my life now, and any input would be greatly appreciated.

Been there a couple times back in the 90's when I was in the Coprs. Nice town lots of historic stuff in the area.

I would consider it a lot like Toledo but cleaner and friendlier.

winston is fine, like said before it has the same big city bs that goes on, but you generally dont see it , get out on the edge to find a spot to stay and it will be fine , i live 5 miles south in midway nc , gets fairly quiet as long as you arent downtown

Winston Salem is a nice place to live. You have 4 seasons a year. From what I have read up on the area the single life is tough. There is a lot of local area attractions to see. You are about 3 hours from the beach, depending where you go in the mountains, 1 to 5 hours from mountain attractions. Winston Salem is a decent place to live.
