I'm in hickory bout an hour nw of lake norman. It's a very nice area. I work for pfg and have delivered mooresville and lake norman area quite a bit. Lots of good eats and plenty to do. Close to charlotte or spend the day in the mountains. Or 3 hours the other direction you're at the beach. Western nc is a great place to call home in my opinion. Although the governing body in nc leaves a lot to be desired, but thats a different topic.

I'll actually be in concord delivering tonight, just a few min from mooresville.

And don't forget the home of nascar if you're into that.

Good luck, let me know of any more questions, I'm pretty familiar with most of the area.

Thanks for the info.

My sister is in Mooresville. My daughter is in Charlotte. I would like to be close to a lake. I am in very rural NY now. I have no others ideas yet.

Hey guys you should come to the Carolina Powerstroke Association forum. I live in Charlotte as well sir! Lake Norman is a great area. I recommend Huntersville or Mooresville.

If your more into cheaper taxes and a quieter more relaxed lake then I'd say check out Lake Tillery in Albemarle. Both lakes are roughly an hour or less from the Charlotte area.

Some lousy thief broke into my truck and stole some mil gear just around the corner from lake Norman.
I won't so much as re visit that town unless it is to track down the little thug
