Diesel Mech around Jacksonville

I think I have a head gasket problem. I tackled the oil cooler/EGR delete project myself but the truck is still blowing coolant out of the degas bottle. Looking for anyone who might have done head gaskets themselves or a good shop within 2 hours or so of Jacksonville. Thanks

If you work on Lejeune (assumption since half the town does) have you considered doing it at the hobby shop?

I was referred to Kenny's quick Lube in Jacksonville by Jax4X4. When I talked to them they seemed knowledgeable. I havent done business with them personally though. I am tackling my issues at the hobby shop.

DEESLVRGN,
I'm on Lejeune. Did you get your studs all done?
I just bought EGR delete kit and turbo back duals, not looking forward to doing the install, not alone any way. I'm looking for some one to help me out! Did you get much help at the hobby shop?

I get to Lejeune late July, and most likely moving towards Wilmington. So far I've tackled STC fitting on the HPOP and both standpipes and dummy plugs. All within reason in tackling by yourself or with help. I have no problem giving you a hand when I get down there.

Reassembly of the up-pipe to turbo was a part I couldn't get, had to bow down to the dealer because they were so close.

I'm considering the STC upgrade while in there, I haven't decided yet. Also, the oil drain tube upgrade, don't really see the need for that though? What's the standpipes and dummy plugs?

Only reasons I'm not looking forward to tearing into the truck that deep is because it is my primary means of transportation (ZX-10R is my back up trans) but also have a 3 month old that is kind of difficult to find 8-10 hours solid to peal away and work on the truck.

Planning on taking the turbo off (of course) while doing the EGR delete, and doing as much preventative work in there while I'm that deep in, clean out the turbo, and with the turbo removed, should make installing the exhaust down pipe easier right?

I messed with the y-pipe to turbo fitting a couple times and could never get it to reseal. I eventually took mine to Rudy's Diesel in Durham for the head studs to be done, ended up putting in a Garrett Powermax turbo while it was there too. Before it left the shop it made 491.5 hp on the rollers, not to shabby, expensive bill though.
