81 ford all over the road, Help Plz

I know that older vehicles have a lot of slack in the steering but I just bought an 81' F100 and it is hard to keep that thing on the road going over 65mph. When I hit a small bump or uneven surface it starts swerving big time. What can I do to fix this problem, thanks so much!

Does it have a front sway bar. I had an 81' that if you hit a bump it would do similar things, I replaced the bushings and all was good.

check your axle pivot bushings and the radius arm bushings they are likely gone ...and then you can tighten the steering box a little too
