honestly wait until you have the front axle. then put both under it. it would be cheaper to do it that way than to swap it over, just to rip it out and weld new stuff in. i did the sas under my bronco. a great place to look is fullsizebronco.com that will have everything you need to know about the 8 lug swap

Hey Peppy I am doing the same thing but mine is a 1992 Bronco. I have been wondering the same question because I want to keep the 44 until I can afford to do the Dana 60 swap.
I was actually ready to do the rear a few months ago & I took it apart to do a brake job & when I went back to get install the new rotors someone STOLE it! So now I have to wait until I can afford to purchase another set of axles. I think its going to be a while because to do the front end is very expensive & I don't do fab work myself so I have to pay someone. Check out eBay, there is a kit available. This is the item # 110241355145, just put the item number in the search & it should come up. Good Luck, Anthony |
