Need some advice

So today while driving through town I saw a f350 and I stop and looked at its a 1987 dually with 6.9 and only 65000 miles and it has a 10ft flat/dump bed for $6500 I'm wondering if there's any common problems and ease of fix. I also plan on using it for fire wood and hauling stone/scrap/lumber for a saw mill. Would this be a good truck for me?

Did you buy it? Sorry this forum is a bit SLOW. I have a 89 f250 IDI. I have had a few issues, nothing earth shattering, if you don't mind not having all the HP and torque of the newer trucks, these are still good workhorses. I had to replace of the two fuel tanks, bypass the fuel tank switch which leaked a LOT of air, install a electric diesel fuel low pressure pump and bypass the mechanical pump, but other than that and normal maintenance its been OK. They tend to leak air in fuel system through o-rings that is why the electric pump to prime everything.
