Short Somewhere

I have a 1990 F 350 dually 7.3 diesel I had starter trouble so I replaced the starter and put in 2 new batterys everything worked good. My vacumm brakes were bad so the next day I replaced the master cylinder and the vacumm booster. got done went in the house eat supper came out to take it for a test drive and both batterys were dead. There is a short I tested all the wires on the relay and the only one that sparked when i touched the + post was the black and orange stripe wire. I found out it is in the wire that has somthing to do with the transmission. When I unhook the black and orange stripe wire from the relay on the fender my over drive light stays on the dash and won't click off and with the black and orange stripe wire unhooked truck doesn't want to move. I put the wire back on the relay overdrive light is out and works right and everything works fine. Today I took the vacumm boost and master cylinder back off the check for pinched wires there were none. Anyone have any ideas what it could be. Thanks Curt
