6.9 injecters

got a 85 6.9 dually. my buddy tells me sumthing bout filling down the injecters in his obs powerstroke to make them stage 1 ,2 , or 3. can you do this to the 6.9s? or does anybody no of a place where i can get sum bigger injecters so i can turn up my pump a bit. and my truck still has the cats i think on it a im sum it still got the stock muffler is it good to cut all of this off and straight pipe or take cats off and replace muffler?

Not cats on IDI's. You cant file the tip's down on any injector to increase power. At most, it would hurt power, if it would stil run. Do you have a pyro on it? Turbo'ed? If not turbo'ed, I would put a pyro on it, and turn it up a little.

Without a turbo, it would be stupid loud straight piped

yes no turbo yet. i have only had 7.3 trucks in my past but ran across the 6.9 truck cheap and got it an love it. i just wanted to pick up some power. do you know where i can get the diagram to file them down?

Like I said, it would run like chit or not run at all, cant do it.

Well I mean you te*****ally can, but I highly doubt it would do anything except make the truck not run, or run like total crap.

Stock injectors that have a good spray pattern and good pop pressure will do wonders. You really dont need upgraded injectors unless you get a high output pump. But if you want injectors, you have two options. One is expensive, moose injectors. They have a great spray pattern as the tip is EDM'ed, but they are very expensive. The other is DPS injectors, they dont have as nice of a spray pattern, and in the past a lot of people had quality control and customer service issues. Lately, they seem to be looking up in both departments though
