Bought a 94 idi!!

Just bought my first idi last night, '94 non turbo 2wd AT. its a reg cab long bed xl model. it needs a little cosmetic work but it runs like a champ. im planning on gauges, turn the pump up, fab up some kind of turbo system (i realise about 10psi is all i can run) maybe stage ones and a stack. ive always wanted a stack for some reason but i cant get myself to cut into my superduty so this i have no problem cutting
my question is tho, what about back pressure? i hear w/o a turbo straight piped these things are dogs

Congrats...yes they are slow, but I think the truck and motor will be around for sometime. I bought a 86 IDI for my son for its simplity. It might take him alittle longer to get there but he'll make it there and back. I love his truck.

they are really good motors, all the parts are cheap and easy to fix. As far as the exhaust goes, opening it up can only help.
